X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST IN THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 MID CREDITS | A POTENTIAL TEAM-UP?

No joke, there is!

According to IGN.com, potentially it will happen and just today SONY PICTURES who is in charge of the web slinging superhero on it’s 2nd movie dating May 4th, will have a tease of next month’s X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST which is by FOX. This kind of not giving much sense at all, right? And questions starts to rise; will Spidey and the entire X-MEN team will potentially have a merge? Or is this just a promotion for both of the movies?

But Variety may have been right for the latter.

According to the source:

The reason, Variety has learned, is that “Spider-Man” director Marc Webb had an existing contract with Fox Searchlight to helm another film following 2009′s “500 (Days) of Summer.” After “The Amazing Spider-Man” in 2012, Webb’s negotiations briefly stalled with Sony as he was caught in a tug-of-war with Fox. Eventually, Fox agreed to allow Webb to direct Sony’s “Spider-Man” sequel, but only if Sony would promote its “X-Men” film for free.

For Sony, there’s another benefit to the cross-promotion. It allows the studio to situate its movie in the same Marvel family as Captain America and Iron Man, even if the creative team behind those films — including star producer Kevin Feige — are separate. Many fans look forward to the much-hyped codas at the end of a Marvel film.

That said, some U.K. fans who saw “Spider-Man 2″ on opening day were confused, wondering if it meant a single “X-Men” and “Spider-Man” movie is being planned. That’s not happening.

Well, I don’t really think this proves justice towards any of the fans out there, and this sounds disappointing, actually. From the very beginning; I really don’t like the reboot of The Amazing Spider-man, it just took away all the comical sense of it and inputs a dark world, I don’t even get why; and the fact that Sony just wont give the rights back to Marvel Studios or even just a team-up, to complete the Avengers soon.

Isn’t it just frustrating?
