I can’t believe there have been totally new and good café’s popping up in the entire Southside nowadays! And the number isn’t stopping anytime sooner. And with this, comes the battle on which who will win with the award for the Best Instagrammed café.

And one café that catches my partner and I’s attention is the café we saw in Foursquare and it’s called Coffee Prince.

Located at Osmena Blvd. just across Cebu Doctor’s Hospital and just strictly beside Suarez; Coffee Prince is an old house turned café that’s definitely popping with colors on the façade that has a welcoming feel inside.

THE INTERIOR

The place is huge. I mean, I love how spacious the inside was. It has a high ceiling which is really good for claustrophobics like me. And it is unlike any other café’s which are so tiny that you’ll be afraid to even move because you’ll crash everything around you.

I love the feeling that we can freely move around: sit or lie, without the fear of damaging stuff.

THE OFFERS

With no halls barred, their offers are the best. They have different food and drinks offers that are so good for your taste buds. They have been famous for this Luther Burger that incorporates flavor overload.

Luther Burger has burger (of course) with bacon and some leafy vegetables on the side dish, but what makes it a superstar is the Original Glazed Krispy Kreme with it. I got so excited when I read some comments on Foursquare about how they included KK since I am a fan of the Original Glazed and I always eat it with the main course at home. Because I just love how the balance of sweet and salty are mixed on my dish. It’s really heavenly, and you should try it out yourself!

IMG_7872

Also try their Bulgogi Panini that gives you a hint of the Middle East dish, it taste so good too!

IMG_7874

For their drinks, I recommend the Java Chip Frap (I did it without caffeine), and it taste sooooo good you want some more.

IMG_7853

For their tea, try their Green Tea Latte that doesn’t just give you good taste, but also gives you the health benefit for your body.

THE SERVICE

To be honest, Coffee Prince and Café Tiala have the best service, but you’ll feel that the crew in Coffee Prince has much professional experience when it comes to customer service. They know how to cater you with your needs as well as the right responses for questions or appraisals.

For recreation, they sell colorful locks and a pallet which you can write your promises or messages and lock it on a huge heart shaped fence located inside and outside the shop. Similar to the locks in Paris, which is very unique for a coffee house too.

Overall, Coffee Prince has the highest standards when it comes to fancy coffee houses in Cebu and the one to beat. A definite no brainer five star.

GO BELGIAN AT BRUSSEL’S CAFÉ BISTRO [PHOTOS]

Going green has never been easy. A green home dedicated for the benefit of the environment is such a huge thing, plus adding a little twist, like turning it into a café is one big joy for the entire coffee or tea enthusiast.

Brussel’s Café Bistro is the only Belgian themed Café and is new in town that can be found just along Gaisano Country Mall, and just across U.C. Banilad.

The theme is unlike any other café’s we know because of its unique environmental style façade that literally is green, plus the plants that are decorated on the walls outside the café itself.

It’s very thoughtful of the owner to build this kind of home slash café, although I once thought that this place was an office for a business catering to people who wanted to have a green home.

Anyhow, inside was small but intimate. It’s well lit, perfect for those who want to study for an upcoming dreadful examinations, or just simply someone who wants to bring his or her laptop with a cup of coffee, tea or take a bite onto some sweets or just simply wanted to have some lunch… yes they do offer meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

IMG_7254

I see this place as a cozy place to sit and just be silent reading or finishing off some deadlines.

IMG_7263

They offer a variety from Meals which ranges from P100.00-P200.00; Sweets which ranges from P100.00-P300.00; and of course their Coffee or Tea offers ranges for as low as P80.00-P200.00. I love how their prices are affordable and still worth the money.

They also have a branch in Unit 7, Paseo Arsenas, Banawa which I haven’t had the chance to visit yet, but hopefully sooner; they have the same theme there (as per Facebook page).

CUTENESS OVERLOAD | CAFÉ TIALA: PRINCESS ROOM REVIEW [PHOTOS]

Are you feeling weary and tired of the same old same design or themed Korean coffee houses that have wooden platforms, scattered post-it notes and warm yellow lights that honestly looks like the prison cell in the Korean movie Miracle in Cell No. 7?

Well, here’s another Korean owned but with difference from all of those coffee houses that you know.

Recently opened, and still in their soft opening; Café Tiala: Princess Room is the one I can see people will destroy the intimacy right after they did with La Vie Parisienne and Café Noriter. It is located at Unit 2-D 2F, The Forum Bldg., Archbishop Reyes Ave., (Bario Luz), Cebu City. To be specific, it is the building beside the new Grand Con.

They differ in theme and design because they offer the very cute theme of a Princess room. It’s a dollhouse matched with a touch of elegance (because of the chandelier, nakaka-sosyal). It has cute figurines and stuffed toys all around the vicinity. The lights are not that yellowish, far from the other Korean coffee houses (which you might want to look back at your photos without Instagram filters that you look like you’re having Jaundice).

Anyhow, the place is so cozy and welcoming, added to their cutely dressed staff that were smiling and very friendly. They’re so cute they remind me of the girls in Kafra Corporation in the online game Ragnarok.

IMG_6361

I love how they presented their Menu stacked in a cylindrical cute, cute, cute box. I love something fancy, and this one is really fancy.

IMG_6379

They have plenty of offers which did not differ from other Korean coffee houses; yet still very satisfying. They also have food if your stomach craves for one. The prices are all not that steep and reasonable at times.

What we did while we were there was that we had a small tea party celebration of our own… which was really cute. I already felt like I was inside a gigantic castle and I was with the one I love having tea. I just love the fact that the place makes you feel relaxed and at ease.

IMG_6385

They also have this cute gimmick called ‘Candlelight Time’ where the staff comes inside the room and lights a candle while they flicker out the lights.

IMG_6437

And by this, it doesn’t also goes with cuteness; it also gives a romantic feel even when the place looks like childish and girly bombarded with pink; but no. It’s cute and romantic; perfect for lovers.

DISCOUT EVERYONE! I don’t know when this promo will last but if you report to the staff that you uploaded and tagged or checked in at Café Tiala’s Facebook Page, you will get a discount! And in ours (it was May 9, 2014) we got 15%.

Check out Café Tiala! Really nice.

TEA TIME | SPROCKETS COFFE + MILK TEA CAFÉ [PHOTOS]

Untitled_Panorama1

–          ★★★ ½

Milk tea nowadays are so IN here at the Queen City, and there’s one located at J. Block Apitong St., and one in Talamban just across University of San Carlos which named Sprockets.

They offer from coffee to milk tea to cakes and very cute cupcakes and also snacks like chicken wings to pizza.

The place in Talamban, which my partner and I visited was really cute and comfortable; but I doubt that it will be on weekdays since it will be jam packed with San Carlos students, but still, it’s nice and pleasing to be in.

IMG_5274

Try their Wintermelon Milk Tea, which you can see in their menu having the number ‘1’ beside it, meaning that it’s the best-seller of all. Also, try their Toasted Hazelnut Milk Tea which is the 4th best-seller of all. And their Blueberry Cheese Cake which was also a winner.

IMG_5273

I love the fact that they have sinkers that you can choose from, which I prefer the burst, and you’ll just have to add P20.00 from the original price of the beverage.

The beverage price ranges from P90.00 – P100.00 which is really affordable.

Visit Sprockets and love the cuteness of the place.

CHATIME | TEA HOUSE | EXPERIENCE [PHOTOS]

There’s been a booming popularity of tea houses lately, and it’s a delight for me since I love anything ‘Tea’. You can see sprouting of these stores everywhere nowadays and there’s been a great competition on who’s the superstar of them all.

Modified teas like Milktea is what is on the market as of today! And how experimental human being minds are that almost all fruits now are mixed with tea; it’s a true satisfactory delight.

Chatime Cebu

Chatime

Just like my ever favorite Cobo, Chatime is a new superstar teahouse in Cebu. Located at G/F Stall 207 E-Bloc, Asiatown I.T. Park, Apas, Cebu City; Chatime offers a number of revamped tea experiences.

The place was friendly and cozy, especially on their couches which makes you want to stay for hours. Not to mention, the place was well ventilated, in actuality, it was too cool inside, and they also offer seats outside the tea house.

The lighting was yellow-ish with a touch of purple; two complimentary colors perfect for visual enchantment.

They also offer bite delights like what I ordered, French fries in cheddar cheese flavor which was a delish! And they are famous for their chocolate mousse.

What we loved about Chatime was their free charging. Before we got there, My partner and I had dinner at Rodeo Grill which frustrates us since they don’t offer free charging that truly is a bummer! But at Chatime, you can see plugs everywhere! Including for USB type of chargers!

IMG_1522

Another thing we loved about Chatime is their modern way of calling customers to fetch their orders. We’ve all heard about Starbucks baristas screaming at the top of their lungs calling the customers, but in Chatime, they’ll give you a circle shaped gadget with instructions “Please pick up your order at the pick-up counter when I light and buzz. Thank You!”, and if your order is ready, the gadget then will perform a synchronized light dance with vibrations telling you to pick up your order. Such impressive!
